Hey Band,

 My thanks go out to Jim for the excellent email Monday night!   I agree.  The band did a really good job with a great amount of music and only three rehearsals.  Given the circumstances, your quick recovery from bumps in the road was very appreciated.  Thanks for “stepping up”, enduring the heat, and giving a concert that the audience obviously enjoyed.

I think this next round of music will be a little easier.  However, there still will be a significant amount of music.  We have read through most of it, but the Monday rehearsal will be important.  Here is the rehearsal list:

There is really only one piece that is new to the Band.  That’s Encanto.  We will be welcoming the Collin County Childrens’ Choir to the rehearsal though I think it will be mostly their directors, coming to see how singing of the trio of Stars and Stripes will work.  There is one thing that I think will really help these short time preparations.  At home, read through each piece completely, including those that you already know.  It will really help with making for an efficient rehearsal and help with confidence in the performance.

As always, please communicate with your section leader on attendance and come Monday if at all possible.
