40th Anniversary

Forty years. The Plano Community Band has been making music for 40 years and is celebrating all season. We started rehearsals for our 2018-19 concert season, and I can’t remember the band ever sounding better at this point in the season. Ready for Something New

We are currently getting ready for our November 22nd concert at the Eisemann Center. While the majority of this concert will feature transcriptions (original pieces written for orchestra or piano and orchestrated for concert band) we have one new piece that I am rehearsing with the band. “Music for Life” was composed in honor of Tommy Guilbert by Lew Buckley and the Association of Concert Bands. Moving Forward

The band had an amazing summer full of emotions that would put anyone through the ringer. After losing Tommy Guilbert (our conductor, artistic director and friend) shortly after our May concert, the band had many things to do.
