Hey Band,

Here is the plan for Monday.

We will start by reading Buddy Mattei’s new transcription, Karlju.  I think this is a wonderful piece and Buddy did a really good job fitting it for band.  The plan is to premier this in November.

I want to spend the rest of the rehearsal working on the Finale to Enigma, Vesuvius, and West Point Symphony.

Please have Karlju printed.  Part assignments are not critical at this time - just print what you usually play.

Let’s dedicate ourselves to a QUIET, efficient rehearsal.  Your focus during rehearsal pays huge dividends in saving time for playing and providing the time to do the detailed musical work that I believe is an outstanding trait of our ensemble.
