Band,

Thank you for your attention last night during rehearsal.  We were able to get a good number of things accomplished and we are on our way to being prepared for the April 30th concert.
I would really like for you to work on your parts and highlight the dynamic levels.  I feel that we have the “full volumes” covered, but we have significant room for improvement on our softer dynamic markings.
We need to work harder to meet those mp and softer dynamic markings across the band.  Joe and I will trust that if you are playing a part that is covered by several people in your section, talk with each other and if one or more of you could/can lay out to accomplish the goal, then do it.

Please listen to these recordings and follow along with your part.  It is important for you to figure out how your part fits into the overall composition of the piece and when you need to bring your part out, or possibly tuck back in to allow another part to the front of the ensemble.
