[PCB Members] Rehearsal Monday night

[Plano Community Band]

Band,
As we communicated back in August, we as a Board are still concerned about
the Delta spike in Covid cases in DFW and the potential impact to our
membership.  With these concerns in mind, the Board decided to continue our
recommendation that vaccinated individuals attend rehearsals, as previously
communicated.  We will assess this recommendation on a weekly basis against
objective criteria defined during our Board meeting this week, and we will
communicate weekly updates to this recommendation in hopes that we can all
rehearse together again safely in the very near future.

In case you missed the August message, you can find it below for
reference.  Please remember that JPII does require you to wear a mask until
you are seated in the rehearsal hall.

*From August 20, 2021:*
As all of you likely know, the Delta variant of Covid-19 is currently
driving a dangerous spike in Covid cases and hospitalizations. The PCB
Board's paramount concern is for the safety of our organization.  With this
in mind, the Plano Community Band board continues to monitor this in order
to make the best decisions for our safety.

Taking guidance from the CDC, and reviewing newly implemented policies of
other local organizations similar to ours, the Board respectfully requests
that only vaccinated members attend the August 23rd rehearsal. This request
only applies to the session on the 23rd but we may need to extend it to
future rehearsals depending on conditions at the time.  If you have been
vaccinated, and are comfortable coming to the session on the 23rd, you will
be *required to wear a mask *unless you are seated in the rehearsal hall *as
per JPII policy.  *We will also make adjustments to seat spacing in the
rehearsal hall as possible.

By taking these precautions, we hope we can avoid another pause in our
rehearsal and performance schedule.

We respect everyone's views on this matter and we appreciate your
understanding of our request.  As we navigate this pandemic surge, we will
continue to communicate with all of you regarding rehearsals beyond the
23rd and we look forward to a time in the near future when we can focus
solely on making music.
