[Board] Chair Pricing for JP2

I'd rather get consensus via email than postpone.

 

Our current options regarding chairs are:

 

1)      Donate $1000

2)      Donate $1500

3)      Buy the rack for $2084

 

 

All voting members, please reply with your choice.  If there is not a clear
winner, we may go with the "lowest common denominator".

 

At this time we can tally:

 

Donate $1000: Janice

Donate $1500: Sandy, Cindy

Purchase: Jim, Sheila, Denise, Jesse

 

If I have misinterpreted anyone's response, please clarify.

 

Yet to hear from Jean, Jennifer, and Jordan.

I approve purchase of the tympani heads.

 

Regarding the rack of chairs, given that we essentially get rehearsal space
for nothing, where it used to cost us $6000/yr, I'm inclined to say just buy
the rack of chairs.

All,

 

I heard back from Michael on the pricing received from Wenger for the 16
chairs and the rack.

The total cost is $2,084.

 

I told him we were expecting it to be closer to $1,500, but that I would
pass it along.

He stated that anything the board would be willing to do, he and the program
would be appreciative.

 

Please talk amongst yourselves and let me know what tell him.

 

 

On another note, our timpani covers are beginning to "shed" their inside
protective cover.  It is leaving a black spongy residue on the timpani heads
and rims.  We need to look at replacing the covers at some point as well.
My first pass at replacement covers from Lone Star Percussion for a complete
set of 5 would be $319.95.  They could have them ready to pick up in 2-4
weeks.

 

That should be enough for now.
