Subject: [Board] Recital

All,

We have a location and a date for the recital:

Twin Rivers Assisted Living Center in Richardson
Sun, Aug 13, 2:00 pm

It is not what we are used to, but at this late date, we should try to live with it. We would be playing in the dining area, which is very open (no containing walls). There are square tables and chairs, which will be cleared off before we start, and we can move them around as needed. There is an upright piano in one corner (not a baby grand). They will give us an empty residence room for cases and warm-up, but there will not be facilities for an ensemble to come in and learn the piece they were going to play, but never rehearsed. Just like in band, people will have to learn their stuff somewhere else.

We need to be out by 4:00ish, as they serve another meal at 5:00. We will need to bring a few chairs and stands. BTW, the facility is very new (about 90 days), and very nice.

The room is free, and they are excited about having us there. They plan to invite the residents and their families. Since they are very new, they don't have a lot of residents. This could be a nice thing to put on the Grant Proposal.

The only other option we have at this point with a baby grand is the Methodist Church in Trenton. That would be great, but it is close to an hour from Plano, AND we will likely not have access to it next year.

Please advise on

1. Proceeding with this choice
2. Going to Trenton
3. Some other option

                                             Sandy Keathley
